Many thanks to everyone who joined us for our general meeting on Saturday, November 4th, 2017. The panel discussion was on climate change and what scientists are expecting both in Texas and in the wider world, as hurricanes like Harvey, Irma, and Maria illustrate the increasing intensity of storms. We asked the panel, “What are the best ways to mitigate and adapt to climate change?” and “What are the obstacles to the adoption of such solutions?” Our panelists included:
– Kerry Cook, Professor, Jackson School of Geosciences, UT Austin
– Adrian Shelley, Director, Public Citizen Texas
– Kalpana Sutaria, Citizens’ Climate Lobby
The event was moderated by Mike Ignatowski.
