Changed topic for Saturday’s meeting

Our scheduled speaker, Michael Chaney, has to be out of town tomorrow, so we’re postponing the presentation on Net Neutrality.

Instead, Tom Archer, a lobbyist for good government and president of Legislative Strategies, LLC, has agreed to get us up to date with the latest news on the budget and other crises from the Texas Legislative Session.

This won’t be just bad news. Tom is forming an alliance of groups who share a common goal of spreading facts about our state’s budget, with the longer-term goal of preserving public education and numerous other essential public investments.

If you are tired watching Texas circle the drain and listening to legislators who think that a dry bathtub is a noble goal, you’ll no doubt want to hear Tom’s words of reason, and his reason for stepping up.

Join us at the Howson Library Meeting Room, 2500 Exposition, Austin, TX 78703
