Coffee Party Austin Meeting (March Chapter Meeting)

The FCC recently released its order to “Preserve the Free and Open Internet”, otherwise known as Net Neutrality regulations. What does this mean for consumers, the Internet service providers, and the Internet itself? What exactly is “Net Neutrality”, and what got us to the point where the FCC felt this hotly-debated regulation was necessary? Join us as Michael Chaney gives us a brief historical look and discussion about telecommunications regulation, the evolution of today’s Internet infrastructure, and how Net Neutrality rules could affect the future of telecommunications in the United States.
